February marks Children’s Mental Health Week

It’s been a challenging time for many pupils who are struggling with the pressure of everyday life. The NHS highlights alarming statistics, reporting 1 in 6 children facing mental health issues. The Creation Station addresses this with a free ‘Let’s Connect’ workshop in schools, fostering positive mental health through creative activities. Strengthening relationships and well-being, it’s a vital initiative for schools.

World Space Week in October – Robotic Space Explorers Workshop

Women represent half of the UK workforce yet only 22 per cent of people working in STEM jobs in the UK are female. 

UNESCO recognise that schools play a central role in determining girls’ interest in STEM subjects but we know that some schools struggle to engage girls in STEM. 

The Creation Station is engaging more girls into STEM with  ‘Robotic Space Explorer’ workshops as part of space week during October 2023.

Our ‘Robotic Space Explorer’ workshop in schools, aligned with the primary National Curriculum, foster creativity and collaboration. Engage girls in STEM by encouraging creative skills, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on observation. Join us to enhance science understanding and love in your school!

Free Anti Bullying Workshop

Anti-Bullying Workshop in November

Combat bullying during Anti-Bullying Week in November with The Creation Station’s ‘Colours of Kindness’ workshop in schools! In collaboration with the Anti-Bullying Alliance, this free session encourages connections and acts of kindness. Through creative activities, students learn to recognise the impact of their behaviour, listen cooperatively, respect differences, and address various types of bullying. For children in the EYFS, these activities have the prime areas of learning linked to self-confidence and self-awareness. This has specific areas of learning linked to ‘Expressive Arts and Design’ and ‘Being Imaginative’.

For children in Key Stage One, the national curriculum areas of learning are ‘Human and Physical Geography’.

For children in the EYFS, these activities have the prime areas of learning linked to ‘Communication and Language’, developing skills to speak and listen in a range of situations. The specific areas of learning are linked to ‘Understanding the World’ to help children explore, observe and find out about people, places, technology and the environment.

For children in Key Stage One, the national curriculum areas of learning are linked to science – to identify,  name, describe and compare a variety of common animals.

Creative and safe slime making fun 

Getting the kids involved in fun and safe, slime-making sessions couldn’t be any easier.

Kids will love the range of activities and ideas they can get involved in. As with all Creation Station activities, you can rest assured that the items we use have been tested to be safe and suitable for children aged four years plus. The recipe we use contains the minimum amount of diluted Boron and is under the European Union safety limit of 300mg/kg.
