How To Make A Valentine’s Day Hanging Heart

Creating a lovely Valentine’s Day decoration is a delightful craft project. Follow these simple steps to make a charming hanging heart that’s perfect for the occasion.

What You Will Need:

  • White Card.
  • Pink, Purple & Red Tissue Paper (or your chosen colours for the heart).
  • Glue.
  • String.
  • A Pencil and Ruler.
  • Scissors.
  • What To Do:
  • Begin by drawing a heart on a piece of white card with a pencil. The size is up to you. To help as a guideline, draw a cross shape, then an ‘m’ shape along the top line of the cross, and two lines down the sides joining at the bottom.
  • Draw a smaller heart inside the first one and then another smaller heart inside the second.
  • Carefully cut around the outline of the largest heart.
  • Apply glue inside the line of the smallest heart.
  • Now, scrunch up small pieces of pink tissue paper and fill the smallest heart with them.
  • Glue to the edge of the second heart and scrunch up small pieces of purple tissue paper to fill the heart.
  • Glue the heart to the outside edge of the bigger heart and fill it with small, scrunched-up pieces of red tissue paper.
  • Take a pencil and make a small hole above the second heart. An adult’s assistance might be required for this step.
  • Thread a piece of string through the hole and tie it in a knot.
  • Your charming Valentine’s Day heart is now complete! Don’t forget to write a heartfelt message on the back for that special someone.
